Party in the Park a Success
On June 2nd, Holland Neighborhood invited our neighbors to our 2nd Annual Party in the park. Volunteers planted even more lilys and hostas around the park this year! Judy Johnson, Craig Kruse, Kristina Johnson, Lisa, Mike, Judy Arnold, Zach Arnold, John Koski, Nat Case and many others helped prune, trim and weed around the Train Park. The flowers look great! Putting the ‘Green’ in Green Space: A Northeast Community Discussion
The City of Minneapolis Public Works, Minneapolis Public Schools, Minneapolis Parks & Recreation & Preventing Harm Minnesota have teamed up to develop healthy & sustainable land management practices and projects for the “Green Campus” of Edison High School, the Flood Basin & Jackson Square Park, which together comprise a significant block of open space in our community. As a first step, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) is funding a feasibility study to develop project ideas to improve water quality in this area.
