Putting the ‘Green’ in Green Space: A Northeast Community Discussion
The City of Minneapolis Public Works, Minneapolis Public Schools, Minneapolis Parks & Recreation & Preventing Harm Minnesota have teamed up to develop healthy & sustainable land management practices and projects for the “Green Campus” of Edison High School, the Flood Basin & Jackson Square Park, which together comprise a significant block of open space in our community. As a first step, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) is funding a feasibility study to develop project ideas to improve water quality in this area. Party in the Park a Success, Area Named Train Park
40-50 people helped to improve Train Park, Holland Neighborhood’s private park on Saturday June 4th. Train Park – that is the new name of the Park! Kids painted the train. Everyone planted adopted Hostas, tiger lillys and iris flowers, trimmed brush and moved tons of wood chips. Stop by and see what you have done.
