Good news! At HNIA's December 14th Community Meeting, our neighborhood voted on supporting affordable housing and public art! HNIA proposed to reallocate funds in its NRP Phase II Plan to enable investment in the proposed Hook and Ladder affordable housing development project and the linear art park (Jefferson St. "Art ROW"). The reallocation will shift funds,
From: Phase II – Strategy 2.2.1 – Home Improvement Programs (-$247,283.63)
Phase II – Strategy 2.3.2 – Home Buyer Assistance (-$89, 496.37)
To: Phase II – Strategy 2.2.2 - Housing Development Fund ($336,780)
This shift now allows HNIA to invest up to $400,000 in not just this new housing development, but also the proposed linear art park (Jefferson St. "Art ROW"), and other affordable housing initiatives in the Holland neighborhood.
