Minneapolis Homes Financing Opportunities
Minneapolis Homes offers up to $20,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers and those who’ve lost a home to foreclosure, as well as financing for home improvements, including grants for energy efficiency and lead remediation. Free Minneapolis Home Energy Squad Visits
The City of Minneapolis is offering free Home Energy Squad visits for residents in 1-4 unit homes, including renters. Energy experts will install energy-saving items like LED bulbs, weather stripping, and smart thermostats to help you save immediately.
Residents can also access 0% APR financing for recommended upgrades like insulation, air sealing, heat pumps, or solar energy.

The Minneapolis Police Department wants all residents to feel safe and informed when interacting with law enforcement. If you’re ever unsure whether someone is a real officer, don’t hesitate to call 911 to verify.How to Identify a Real Officer:
They will clearly state their name and agency
You can ask for their name, badge number, and agency — they are required to provide it
Their uniform and vehicle should have visible badges, patches, and agency markings
If markings are missing, it may be a red flag
