The impact of Operation Metro Surge has revealed the urgency of our healthcare crisis, especially around trauma response. It will take years for Minneapolis businesses and residents to heal from the destructive forces of this deadly Operation, and we urgently need culturally-based trauma response resources that meet the needs of our community. Now is not the time to pull back on this vital care. 

Hennepin Healthcare is a critical statewide resource. Nearly 70% of Minnesota medical providers receive part of their training there, meaning its impact extends far beyond Minneapolis. If Hennepin Healthcare cannot provide sustainable care, the entire region will feel the cascading effects across our health systems.

I know that Hennepin Healthcare is a statewide resource that we must save. Please support repurposing the ballpark tax to provide support for our critical hospital needs. If Hennepin Healthcare cannot provide sustainable care, the entire region will suffer, as there’s a cascading impact throughout the health systems. Minnesota’s health and wellbeing depend on it.
